Website analytics
Valde uses Google Analytics on its public website to understand how readers discover and use its publications. Analytics is disabled on the draft website and temporary hosting address.
When enabled, Google Analytics uses cookies and processes information about website visits, device and browser characteristics, referral sources, publication page views, reading progress and clicks on PDF or contact links. Reading measures are indicators based on visible-page time and progress through the text; they do not establish that a publication has been read or understood. A PDF click does not establish that the file was saved or read.
Valde does not request registration to read or download publications. The analytics implementation does not deliberately send names, email addresses, email contents or feedback text to Google. Advertising personalisation and Google signals are disabled in the website tag.
Google processes analytics information under its own terms and privacy practices, which may involve processing outside Australia. Read Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Google also provides an Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
